Creating a Comfy Space for Your Pet

Creating a Comfy Space for Your Pet | Diary of a DIYer

We spend a lot of time figuring out how we’d like our homes to look. Think about it: from style, to furniture, to paint, and so much more. One area I haven’t seen much of a focus on is a comfy area for your pet to relax.

Our furry little friends are an extension of our families and they deserve the best. While I’m not suggesting a full area remodel, small additions can go a long way. Keeping the décor of your house in mind, here are my ideas to make your pet’s spaces—both indoors and outdoors—as cozy (and convenient) as can be.

Vinyl floors are becoming more and more popular among homeowners because of their water and stain resistance, and its versatility in kitchen and bathroom applications. Over the years vinyl flooring has seen a number of great improvements such as increased durability, lower cost, and easy installation. With a variety of styles and finishes it is no wonder why vinyl is becoming a viable and economical alternative to laminate and hardwood flooring.

Spring thaw and rain showers can bring with them their own set of issues for your home. The biggest problem for your home’s basement is flooding and leaks. How to Paint a Chalkboard Wall

I love to decorate and I have been able to make my place my own within the confinements of my lease and I consider that an accomplishment.  Even more conveniently, my apartment complex allows you to paint your walls as long as you put a coat of primer back on them when you leave.  I realize that not everyone has the luxury of being able to paint in their rentals, and I wanted to take advantage of the freedom I have.  Which leads me to this project.

Choosing the Right Snow Blower

Here in the northern part of the country the first snow fall is always a joy, but I can assure you this short-lived novelty fades quickly after the first 15 minutes of shoveling heavy, wet snow. You’ll soon realize that there is a much easier option. For many this option is a snow blower. But with a variety of options, styles and sizes which one is right for you and your driveway? Here are a few tips to help you decide…
